Each box with a name and a data type is called a variable.
A box labeled with the float data type (short forĀ floating-point number) can only contain a single number that may have digits after the decimal point.
A box labeled with the integer data type can only contain a single number with no digits after the decimal point.
A box labeled with the character data type can only contain a single character–a letter, a number, a punctuation mark, etc.
